Adam Dunn cracked a homer and had 2 RBI as the streaking Jefferson Park
Penguins outscored the Tombstone Huckleberries 4 to 1.
Jefferson Park set the tone of the game in the first inning with 3 runs on 4
hits. After an out was recorded, Lance Berkman began the rally when he
doubled. After another out, Manny Ramirez came to the plate and doubled
which scored a run. Dunn then bombed a two-run dinger (his 28th of the
season). That was all the offense they were to need. Jefferson Park out-hit
Tombstone for the game, 10 hits to 4.
Al Leiter(10-7) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 innings and allowing 1
run. Armando Benitez recorded the save, his 25th. The losing pitcher was
Brett Tomko(9-9). He got hit pretty hard, allowing 9 hits and 3 walks in 6
and 2/3 innings.
